Look, we're not going to pretend we invented green building. But we've gotten really good at it. Cornerstone Construction has been turning regular renovations into actually sustainable projects since 2011. We work with homeowners across Constanța who want their spaces to perform better, cost less to run, and not destroy the planet in the process. It's not complicated — good materials, smart design, and people who actually know what they're doing. That's us.
Over time, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, quality, and clear communication. We treat each project as a partnership and aim for outcomes that last.
Our Story
Started in 2011 by two former contractors who got tired of watching good materials end up in landfills. Cornerstone began small — mostly kitchen and bathroom projects. But something shifted around 2015 when we realized people actually wanted sustainable options; nobody was offering them properly. So we retrained, got certified, started sourcing better materials. Now we've completed 47 renovations using methods we're genuinely proud of. We're still the same small crew, still in Constanța, still answering our own phones.

Started building at 19, frustrated with waste by 30. Andrei obsesses over details nobody sees — insulation sealing, ventilation design, thermal bridging. His houses are uncomfortable to inspect because everything works too well.
Mircea Ionescu
Co-Founder & Materials Specialist
Knows where sustainable materials come from and whether they're actually worth using. Probably the only person in Constanța who gets genuinely excited about reclaimed wood sourcing. Slightly annoying at dinner parties.
Elena Gheorghiu
Project Manager
Keeps projects on schedule and budgets honest. Elena translates between contractor-speak and human-speak, ensuring you understand what's happening and why. Also makes excellent coffee during site meetings.
